Massage, or bodywork, is an ancient therapeutic practice that harmonizes the body and mind. It restores balance, alleviates pain, reduces stress, and enhances overall well-being. Healing touch has always been a part of our human story, and our modern world needs it more now than ever.

I look forward to being a part of your wellness story.

Integrated Bodywork

I approach bodywork holistically, pulling from multiple modalities and tailor a massage that addresses your unique needs and wants.

A massage with me will feel smooth with flowing strokes and balanced pressure. My goal is to effectively address your physical tension and stress, providing restorative and centering benefits that help your body release muscle tightness.

During your massage, I will pull from the following modalities and techniques: Swedish massage, myofascial release, trigger point work, energy work, essential oils, hot stones, cupping, and warming therapies.

This is not a Deep Tissue Massage.

  • The Quick Fix - This session length is good for a relaxation massage or if you have 1 area that you want to work on like the low back, or neck.

  • Most Popular - This session length is great if you have 1-2 areas that you want to focus on. If you like an extended neck, face, and scalp massage, this is a great choice.

  • Recommended - This session length is perfect for maximum relaxation. A full body massage with a focus on 1-3 areas like neck, low back, and calves.

  • This session combines 60 minutes of massage and 30 minutes of Reiki for the ultimate mind, body, and spirit experience.

  • This is a great gift for caregivers of loved ones receiving cancer treatment or palliative care, caring for aging parents, teachers, first responders, and loved ones.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a specialized massage technique designed to enhance the flow of lymphatic fluid throughout the body.

This gentle, rhythmic form of massage stimulates the lymphatic system, which is responsible for removing waste products, toxins, and excess fluid from tissues and maintaining fluid balance.

MLD involves precise movements that follow the direction of lymph flow, usually focusing on areas where lymph nodes are concentrated, such as the neck, underarms, abdomen, and groin. The technique is often used to reduce swelling, improve circulation, facilitate healing, and support the body’s natural detoxification processes. (Not a Brazilian Massage)

Post Surgery: You must wait at least 4 days after surgery to receive massage, and I require a doctor’s clearance note. My electric table will allow you to begin in a seated position, and we will lower it to your comfort.

Oncology: MLD can help you with post-surgical recovery, edema reduction, pain control, infection prevention, constipation relief, hematoma reduction/resolution, and improved sleep.

I hold a Certification in MLD from Klose Training (45 hours) through The Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy.

  • This session allows us to complete a full cycle of lymphatic drainage. It is appropriate for general wellness, post surgery, post illness, and well managed lymphedema.

  • This longer session allows for additional focused work combined with some traditional bodywork, energy work, and sound therapy.

  • This is a great gift for anyone recovering from a surgery or receiving chemotherapy.

Oncology Massage

Compassionate touch oncology massage is my passion. I believe we must treat the whole person during and after cancer treatment.

An oncology massage is gentle and tailored to your needs that day. My goal is to compassionately address your physical and mental tension and stress, allowing your body to release all that’s not serving you during this challenging time. You can expect a gentle, calming massage, energy work, and aromatherapy that soothes the mind and soul. Being a caretaker myself, I have first hand experience with the challenges you’re facing going through treatment. I’m so honored you are choosing me to walk alongside you in your fight.

My therapy room was designed with you in mind. I adhere to strict sanitation practices after every client, ensuring your wellbeing. I’m happy to wear a mask if you are immunocompromised or it makes you more comfortable. On my heated electric table, you will recline to your comfort level while being supported by pillows. It’s like laying on a cloud. Sigh…

Cancer treatments are costly, and I want to make this service available to you without adding too much to your medical costs. My rates below are discounted for your benefit. Treat yourself. You’re worth it.

I received additional training in Compassionate Touch Oncology Massage (25 hours) through The Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy.

  • Sessions will last up to 60 mins. If you require breaks or need to stop at any time, we understand. If all you an handle is 20 mins, we will finish the balance of your session another day for no additional cost.

  • During a longer session, you can expect a calming guided meditation, sound therapy, and a full oncology massage. This is great for clients not experiencing nausea and on "the good days."

  • Know someone in the fight? Treat them to an hour of relaxation and non-medical touch.

Prenatal Massage

Nurture yourself before bébé arrives.

I provide a nurturing and restorative prenatal massage experience, specifically tailored to meet the unique needs of expectant mothers. Using gentle, flowing strokes and balanced pressure, I aim to relieve the physical discomforts that come with pregnancy—such as back pain, swelling, and muscle tension—while promoting relaxation and overall well-being. (I’ve been there, Mama. I had a 10 lb, 3 oz butterball!)

My approach ensures a calm, safe environment, allowing both you and your baby to feel nurtured and cared for.

This service is designed for relaxation and relief, rather than deep tissue manipulation, and can be adapted to ensure your utmost comfort throughout your pregnancy journey.

Accepting clients in 2nd & 3rd trimesters. Massage will be side lying.

  • Give yourself the gift of self-care before you're on call 24/7.

  • This is a great gift for anyone recovering from a surgery or receiving chemotherapy.

  • "I had the most wonderful experience with Megan. From the moment she walked in, I felt an overwhelming sense of calm and warmth. Megan was incredibly attentive, taking time to understand my specific needs and ensuring I was comfortable throughout the session. I completed chemotherapy earlier this year, so we discussed what would be tolerable for me & my port placement. The massage itself was nothing short of amazing – the perfect combination of skill, intuition, and care. I left feeling deeply relaxed and rejuvenated, both physically and emotionally. If you're looking for a place that truly understands the healing power of touch, I can't recommend Valo enough!”

  • "Working with Megan has been a wonderful experience. Not only does she put my mind at ease, but has a wonderful sense of connection with me as well as other clients. She does an amazing job at melting away any tense areas within the body as well as the mind. Highly recommend her for Bodywork or Reiki to anyone who is new to the practice or looking for a practitioner."
